The College of the Holy Cross, also called Holy Cross, is a highly-selective, four-year, undergraduate, liberal arts institution that was founded in 1843 by the Society of Jesus (Jesuits) in Worcester, Massachusetts. One of New England’s oldest Catholic colleges and one of the oldest in the United States, Holy Cross is consistently ranked among the nation’s top educational institutions, most recently on Forbes magazine’s 2019 Top Colleges; 2019 Top Colleges – Private; and 2019 America’s Best Value Colleges.
