NAPLES, Florida – May 29, 2025 – Moran Wealth Management®, an investment management firm based in Naples, Florida, providing wealth and asset management services to sophisticated investors, announces that Client Relationship Manager Adam Masterson has earned the SE-AWMA™ designation.

The Sports & Entertainment Accredited Wealth Management Advisor (SE-AWMA™) designation is a specialized certification for financial advisors who work with high-net-worth clients in the sports and entertainment industries. It’s offered by the College for Financial Planning (CFFP), a Kaplan company, and focuses on the unique financial needs of these individuals.

Key aspects of the SE-AWMA designation include:

  • Specialized Knowledge: The program equips advisors with skills and knowledge needed to address the complex financial situations of sports professionals and entertainment figures.
  • Niche Focus: It places an emphasis on the specific financial planning needs of high-net-worth individuals in the sports and entertainment sectors.
  • Credibility and Recognition: Holding the SE-AWMA™ designation helps to demonstrate expertise and reinforce credibility with clients in these industries.
  • Comprehensive Curriculum: The program covers various financial planning areas relevant to these clients, including qualitative planning, investments, tax planning, estate planning, and more.
  • Professional Development: It’s designed to help advisors advance their careers and better serve the unique needs of high-net-worth clients in the sports and entertainment world.

“Understanding clients’ unique financial realities can be crucial when working with clients in the sports and entertainment industries,” said Masterson. “The SE-AWMA™ designation has given me the tools to provide more strategic and personalized advice. It’s an honor to be recognized for this specialized expertise, and I’m looking forward to helping our clients protect and grow their wealth with greater precision.”

In his current role, Masterson supports the onboarding of new client relationships and provides ongoing support to help existing clients navigate change—aspiring to help ensure each client receives the personalized attention they deserve.

“Adam’s achievement in earning the SE-AWMA™ designation is a reflection of both his drive and the values we uphold as a firm—depth of knowledge, client focus, and continual improvement,” said Tom Moran AIF®, Chairman, CEO, and CIO of Moran Wealth Management®. “This credential enhances the value we deliver to high-net-worth individuals in sports and entertainment.”

A Naples native, Masterson earned his MBA from Florida State University and his BA in Finance from Stetson University. He passed the CFP® examination in summer of 2022, and he is currently completing the required experience to become an active Certified Financial Planner™. Outside of work, Masterson enjoys fishing and spending time with his family, which includes his seven brothers and sisters.
