Throughout his career, he has managed and overseen investment strategies across hedge funds, mutual funds, and institutional RIAs, with expertise in large-cap equities, managed-volatility dividend strategies, and fundamental research.
A CFA charterholder, Brett combines disciplined fundamental research with advanced data analytics, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. He is the creator and copyright holder of the Fundamental AI Investment Research platform, a proprietary system designed to enhance equity research, portfolio construction, and analytical rigor. For more than eight years, he has focused on applying AI and data science to the investment process.
Prior to joining the firm, Brett served as Chief Investment Officer and Portfolio Manager, overseeing multiple equity strategies, portfolio construction, and investment oversight. Earlier in his career, he held roles as a portfolio manager and Director of Fundamental Research, leading equity research teams and helping refine investment processes and research capabilities.
Brett earned his MBA in Finance from Georgetown University and has completed advanced graduate-level and post-graduate coursework in artificial intelligence, machine learning, data science, and business analytics, including executive education programs through The University of Texas at Austin. Outside the office, he enjoys spending time with his family, swimming, rowing, sailing, and cheering on the Pittsburgh Steelers.
